As well as the Youth Group, we also have a lot of other areas that we work with young people.
Take a look below:
The main bulk of our work is on a Saturday night when we invite the young people of Congleton in for a hot drink, some games, and a place to be themselves. We have a time of teaching and prayer from 8:15, requested by our young people.
We welcome high-schoolers from the second our doors open at 7:30pm.
For any young people who attend Sunday morning services, we provide some age appropriate teaching.
We leave the service half way through, and spend time playing games, reading the bible, and focusing on relevant subjects that the young people themselves choose.
Each year th Mersey Synod, the governing body of which Congleton URC belongs, holds weekends away. These are times that high school aged young people spend time with other christians, learning about and exploring their faith, while being away from home overnight.
As well as all the above, we also offer pastoral support to any young person who needs or wants it.
We always have a listening ear for our young people and have a range of resources to help them.
If you need to chat, don't hesitate to contact the team.
